I often forget just how many commercials Farrah Fawcett was in. Frankly, I remember this commercial from the mid 1970s, but until I started my search for Farrah-related commercials and videos I had no idea that it was her! Needless to say I was quite surprised when I encountered this Farrah Fawcett commercial on YouTube:
I must admit that Farrah really doesn’t play a huge role in the commercial, but I’d venture to say that perhaps they would have sold more cars had they given her a bigger role! Something of the style Ricardo Montalban’s Chrysler Cordoba commercial, although I’m not sure that Farrah would have provided as distinctive an accent when uttering the phrase “rich, Corinthian leather…”
Regardless this commercial is another testament to how Farrah grew to be such a sensation and why Farrah Fawcett Barbie
